Summary
editDescriptionSouthern Pacific Shasta Daylight circa 1949.JPG | Photo postcard of the Southern Pacific Shasta Daylight, which traveled the West Coast between Portland, Oregon and Oakland, California between 1949 and 1966. This is train #10, going north to Portland. It appears to be one of the early 1949 runs of the train as it's equipped with EMD E7 locomotives; the locomotives were switched to Alco models soon after its inaugural 1949 run. The train is also shown with its original colorful paint scheme; SP changed to red and black in 1959. |
