| Description |
English: The interior cove panels of Southern Vectis 453 St Catherine's Point (HW07 CXT), a Mercedes-Benz Citaro, in Newport, Isle of Wight, bus station, while it loaded passengers before departing. The coving included information about route 9, which these Citaros were dedicated to. However, this bus has since been moved and entered service with Bluestar in Southampton in March 2010. During the few months before transfer, the Citaros frequently strayed onto other routes, and 453 was on route 5 in this photograph. Each of the Citaros had information about a different type of bus that Southern Vectis had previously operated. 453 showed a Bristol Lodekka. Unfortuatley roadworks has caused a 30 minute gap in the 15 minute frequency of route 5, so the bus was ram packed when I took this photo. I was sat directly underneath the information here, so I couldn't really avoid the text being upside down in the photo. |
