English: The former Southgate Street pedestrian subway in Worcester seen in December 2023. It was built in 1908–1911 as part of the grade separation of railroads in downtown Worcester. The east end of Southgate Street was rerouted with a new bridge under the Norwich Branch about 300 feet to the northeast; the old alignment became Southgate Place, with this pedestrian tunnel under the tracks. |
