Description

A real-photo postcard of the Camden Amphitheatre in Camden, Maine.

The lawn is shown in the foreground, with the tiered stone steps of the Amphitheatre beyond. Boulders which were left intact during the construction can be seen.

Mary Louise Curtis Bok donated the land to the library in 1931. Fletcher Steele of Boston was employed as landscape architect for the Amphitheatre.
