Description
Français : Johanny Firmin est né le 19 mai 1893 dans la petite commune de Lafarre en Ardèche septentrionale où ses parents, Henri et Mélanie (née Buffat), sont cultivateurs. Il réside non loin de là, dans le village de Colombier-le-Jeune, lorsqu’il est appelé sous les drapeaux le 28 novembre 1913. Johanny rejoint le 55e régiment d’infanterie et part pour le front dès le 2 août 1914. Il y est blessé à deux reprises et fait prisonnier à Dieuze (Moselle) lors de l’offensive de Lorraine d’août 1914. Il est par la suite interné en Allemagne dans le camp de Müsingen où il passera plus de quatre années. Père de sept enfants, Johanny sera définitivement libéré de ses obligations militaires le 1er mars 1939. Il s’est éteint à Boucieu-le-Roi (Ardèche) le 22 septembre 1972. Son petit-fils se souvient d'un grand-père germanophone qui accueillait en allemand ses petits-enfants. Sa famille a fait don des décorations et du diplôme de Johanny Delord, parfaitement conservés sous un très beau cadre, aux Archives de l’Ardèche.
