Description
English: The signatures on the thermal-space-blanket signed by U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, Lockheed Martin Space, and Aerospace Corporation personnel, during the thermal “Space Blanket” signing ceremony, at the Los Angeles Air Force Base, SSC, in El Segundo, Calif., March 24, 2022. The space blanket will protect sensitive components inside the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) satellite, SBIRS Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (GEO)-6 satellite from extreme temperature changes during its life-span around Earth’s orbit.
