Summary edit

Description
English: Just got back from a few days of backcountry hiking in Sedona, Arizona.

We watched the sun set from the Airport Mesa. Shortly thereafter, we were able to watch the International Space Station (ISS) as it flew almost directly overhead. It was truly awe inspiring to see it pick up speed and brighten as it flew overhead. I'm not the sentimental type, but I was mesmerized.

Then again, maybe it was a UFO.

Seriously, to see the ISS, simply go to www.heavens-above.com for a schedule of upcoming flyovers. It's bright enough that it's visible from even the biggest cities on a clear night.

30 sec exposure at f/5.6 and 21 mm focal length. It was underexposed. Had to do a fair amount of brightening in Photoshop.
