Portrait d'homme dans son cabinet devant un paravent rouge. Il est assis dans un fauteuil, la main gauche appuyée à une canne, l'autre tenant un papier roulé. Il est vêtu d'une redingote bleue, sa taille nouée d'une écharpe tricolore. Une fenêtre ouverte laisse voir la mairie du 3ème arrondissement, sur le bureau un buste en pierre de Louis-Philippe
