Summary edit

Description
English: Spring evening at Bonaly. Horses graze near Bonaly Tower, built by the 19th century judge Lord Cockburn. Having found this ideal site for his house, he was undaunted by the fact that it was already occupied by the village of Bonaly. His solution was simple in the days before planning laws - in his own words, "I have destroyed a village, and erected a tower; and reached the dignity of a twenty-acred laird".
