Summary edit

Description
English: Saint-Maurice-sur-Aveyron, Loiret, Centre, France.

Old road to Melleroy, near the Irlets hamlet. Here looking west towards Saint-Maurice. It stopped being used at the turn of the 20th century, when a straight path was created for the planned railway from St-Maurice to Melleroy. The railway was in the end never built, and people started using this very straight path, which also avoided the dampest and oft flooded patches of land, instead of the old road.

Some 300m ahead, on the left of the path, between it and the étang des Irlets, are the remnants of a roman camp.
Français : Saint-Maurice-sur-Aveyron, Loiret, région Centre, France.

Ancienne route de Melleroy, aux Irlets. Ici vers l'ouest, direction Saint-Maurice.
