[Original caption] St Patrick's Church – Of the native Christians in Bangalore, the majority are Catholics. A chapel is said to have been built as far back as 1400 and Jesuit missionaries came in 1762. The residence of the Bishop is here and there are important educational establishments and two agricultural settlements for famine orphans. [end]
