Deutsch: St.-Nikolai-Kirche in Groß Schwülper (Schwülper), Niedersachsen, Deutschland. Die Inschrift besagt:
„Schlafstätte, wo friedlich ruht Herr C. Schreiber, vormals Vorsteher der Güter des Freiherrn von Marenholtz, geboren in Harburg 1644, gestorben in Schwülper am 16. Juni 1703, ein sowohl Gott als auch den Menschen angenehmer Mann, solange er lebte, um Jesu willen, den er mit dem Glauben umfing und mit dem Mund bekannte. Seine Seele ist in den Himmeln, sein Fleisch aber, hier von der Erde aufgenommen, erwartet mit der Gattin, den Kindern und den übrigen Gläubigen die selige Auferstehung an jenem großen Tag, um Gott zu lobpreisen. - Begräbnistext 1 Joh. 5,7 [Falschschreibung für 1 Joh. 1,7]: Das Blut Jesu Christi, des Sohnes Gottes, reinigt uns von aller Sünde. + Dies sei die Summe meines Gebets: Verleih mir zu glau[ben...]“.
Der Stein wurde offensichtlich unter dieser Zeile abgeschnitten. Die traditionelle Fortsetzung lautet DA CREDERE RECTE VIVERE DA SANCTE DA BENE CHRISTE MORI - „Verleih mir recht zu glauben, heilig zu leben und, Christus, gut zu sterben“.
