Summary edit

Description
English: St.Martin's Lane. The medieval church of St.Martin was damaged by Parliamentary cannon in 1644 and remained derelict until rebuilt in 1740. When the new St.Martin's church opened on West Parade in 1873 St.Martin's was largely pulled down, only the tower was left standing until it too was demolished in 1921. The churchyward remains, paved with gravestones.
