English: St. Andrew's Dock Lock In the very early 1970s this lock would have been very busy transferring deep sea fishing vessels from the River Humber into St. Andrew's Dock on what was reputed to have been the world's busiest fishing port of Hull. The Cod Wars and depleted fish stocks put an end to its hive of activity. It's very sad to see it in its present filled-in state. |
