This is a picture of St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. It was built in 1847. St. Francis Hospital was the first to combine patient care and clinical teachings in the United States, with Starling Medical College being housed in the building. Starling Medical College operated from 1847-1907. The hospital closed in 1955 and the building was torn down in 1957.
