Summary edit

Description
English: St. George Orthodox Church, 2 Nottingham Terrace at Amherst Street, Buffalo, New York, January 2020. Founded in 1945 as a merger of several small Orthodox congregations populated largely by Romanian immigrants, St. George's moved in 1964 from its former home in Black Rock to their current one, an austere yet striking Modernist edifice constructed for $40,000 from a seign by the firm of Maides & Filipek. The icons inside are the handiwork of the Russian Orthodox monks of Holy Trinity Monastery in Jordanville, New York.
