Description
English: St. Mary the Virgin's Church, Brading, Isle of Wight, England. Arms of the Oglander family. Central column top to bottom:
  • The top central shield are the arms of Sir William Oglander, 3rd Baronet (c. 1680–1734) who married Elizabeth Strode, the daughter and heiress of Sir John Strode of Parnham, whose arms he shows as an inescutcheon of pretence Ermine, on a canton sable a crescent argent.
  • The cenntral shield in the middle column shows the arms of Sir William Oglander, 6th Baronet (1769-1852) who married Lady Maria (Mary) Anne FitzRoy (1785–1855), a daughter of George Henry FitzRoy, 4th Duke of Grafton (1760-1844).
  • The shield at bottom middle shows Oglander impaling Coxe (Sable, a chevron between three attires of a stag fixed to the scalp argent) for Sir John Oglander, 4th Baronet (c. 1704–1767) who married Margaret Hippisley-Coxe a daughter of John Hippisley-Coxe of Ston Easton Park, Somerset.

Right column, top to bottom:

  • Bottom: More of Losely, Surrey: Azure, on a cross argent five martlets sable (arms of Sir John Oglander, in 1624 Deputy Governor of the Isle of Wight, who married Frances More, a daughter of Sir George More of Losely, Surrey (The English Baronetage: Containing a Genealogical and Historical ..., Volume 1
