Summary edit

Description
English: Memorial plaque at Lourdes grotto at St. Michael's Catholic Church, at the junction of 3rd and Cedar Sts. in Tarnov, Nebraska. The grotto was dedicated in 1927, to honor Tarnov's sixteen World War I veterans (one of whom was killed). Tarnov was settled by Polish immigrants, whence the language of the plaque. The St. Michael's complex, including the church, school, rectory, and cemetery, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The church is still in use as such.
