English: The painting "St. Narcissus and the Flies" from the Church of St. Felix in Girona (Catalonia, Spain). According to an old legend, during the siege of Girona in 1285 by the French troops, thousands of huge poisonous flies flew out of the defiled tomb of Saint Narcís. They attacked the enemy army, stinging everyone in a row - horses, soldiers and nobles, inflicting crushing damage on the enemy. Half of the troops and even the French king Philip III, who led them, died, and the army was forced to retreat from Girona.
Español: El cuadro "San Narciso y las moscas" procedente de la Iglesia de Sant Feliu de Girona (Cataluña, España). Según una antigua leyenda, durante el sitio de Girona en 1285 por las tropas francesas, miles de enormes moscas venenosas salieron volando de la tumba profanada de San Narciso. Atacaron al ejército enemigo, picando a todos en fila: caballos, soldados y nobles, infligiendo daños aplastantes al enemigo. La mitad de las tropas e incluso el rey francés Felipe III, que las dirigía, murieron y el ejército se vio obligado a retirarse de Girona.

Segons una antiga llegenda, durant el setge de Girona l'any 1285 per part de les tropes franceses, milers d'enormes mosques verinoses van sortir volant de la tomba contaminada de sant Narcís. Van atacar l'exèrcit enemic, punxant a tothom en fila: cavalls, soldats i nobles, causant danys aclaparadors a l'enemic. Van morir la meitat de les tropes i fins i tot el rei francès Felip III, que les dirigia, i l'exèrcit es va veure obligat a retirar-se de Girona.
Русский: Картина «Святой Нарцисс и мухи» из церкви Сан-Фелиу в г. Жироне (Каталония, Испания). Согласно старинной легенде во время осады Жироны в 1285 году французскими войсками тысячи огромных ядовитых мух вылетели из оскверненной могилы Святого Нарцисса. Они набросились на неприятельскую армию, жаля всех подряд – лошадей, солдат и дворян, нанеся врагу сокрушительный урон. Половина войска и даже возглавлявший их французский король Филипп III погибли, и армия были вынуждены отступить от Жироны.
