Description
English: Caption reads: "St. Thomas' Church, Broadway. Drawn and Engraved for the New-York Mirror, 1829". The engraving accompanies an article on page 393.

The church's cornerstone was laid on 1824-07-27, and the completed church was consecrated on 1826-02-23. At left is the parsonage house on Mercer and Houston Streets, built in 1826.

This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: color- and light-adjusted, and blemishes removed.
