Summary
editDescriptionSt Enodoc Church - geograph.org.uk - 797611.jpg |
English: St Enodoc Church View east from the flank of Brea Hill. This small church, which dates back to the 12th century, was made famous by the poet laureate, John Betjeman who is buried in the churchyard. In the 19th century the church was almost completely swallowed by the sands of Daymer Bay, when the only way in was through the roof. From this episode the church gained the nickname of "Sinking Neddy". The church is surrounded by St Enodoc Golf Course.
