English: St Michael's Alley Named after the church in Cornhill Ward St_Michael,_Cornhill First mentioned in (Aubrey's Anecdotes, II. 224).In 1720 it was extended along the south side of the churchyard on the site of Castle Court and Birchin Lane("A Dictionary of London" Harben,H: London, Herbert Jenkins, 1918).
