Description
English: Plaque in the east foyer of the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (Potsdamer Straße building) in remembrance of the state visit of Valéry Giscard d'Estaing in October 1979. The words "La liberté de Berlin, c'est aussi la nôtre." (The freedom of Berlin is also our own freedom.) are taken from the speech that he held here.
Deutsch: Gedenktafel im Ostfoyer der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin (Haus Potsdamer Straße) an den Staatsbesuch von Valéry Giscard d'Estaing im Oktober 1979.
