Deutsch: Das 1929 errichtete Scheffel-Denkmal am Hang des Staffelbergs mit der vierten Strophe seines Frankenliedes (1859). Das Denkmal ist ein großer Riffdolomit-Felsblock, der im unteren Teil des Berges mit seinem Mergelkalk nicht seine ursprüngliche Lage hat. Vielmehr stammt er aus der Riffstufe am Gipfel des Staffelbergs. Der Felsen löste sich durch Frostsprengung aus dem Gipfelgestein, stürzte und rollte hinab auf seinen jetzigen Standort. |
