Description
English: Stagecoach bus 14714 (reg. K714 ASC), a 1992 Leyland Olympian double-decker with Alexander RL bodywork, pictured in Brighton, East Sussex, operating route 12 from Eastbourne. It was new to Fife Scottish as their fleet no. 714, part of the first influx of new buses by that company's new owner Stagecoach Group, wearing the original Stagecoach corporate striped livery. It later found its way to the south of England, operating in the East Kent fleet and later in one or more of the East Sussex fleets derived from the former Southdown Motor Services and Hastings & District companies. A month before this picture was taken it was still in Stagecoach stripes. About a year after this picture was taken it had been transferred to Stagecoach South West, after Stagecoach surrendered Eastbourne outstation & Lewes, Seaford, Uckfield depots to Brighton & Hove Buses. It has since joined Chepstow Classic, repainted overall blue.
