Summary edit

Description
English: Three men on the driver's bench of a horse-drawn stagecoach in Ferndale, California in 1889. From left to right: The white partial building is now site of the Hart Theater, the dark building with porch is the telegraph building 455 Main which was built by G.W. Williams in 1888. It now houses the Blacksmith Shop. Notice the empty lot to the south of the telegraph building. The Taubman's Cash Red Star Store wasn't built until 1898. The decorative 3 bayed building to rear left is the Williams Building at 491 Main Street (built in 1895), which was reduced to the current one-story building in 1954. The sign outside the 3story Williams building reads "HARDWARE STOVES TINWARE"
