In 1922, shortly before Lenin's death, the tactician Stalin becomes the General Secretary of the party and develops this "bureaucratic post" into the highest state office in the SU. Soon the main avenues and squares bear his name, as well as factories, ships, schools, kolkhozes, villages and cities, such as Stalingrad.

"STALIN- the father of the party and the whole Soviet country", it is soon everywhere said.

This is the birth of the cult of personality.
