Stamp of the Mahra Sultanate of Qishn and Socotra; 1967; commemorative stamp of the issue "Paintings"; The short-living Sultanate (existed 1963-1967) marks the time immediately before the independence of this territory from Great Britain (British "Protectorate of Aden") and the establishment of the Communist Era in South Yemen.; As stamp motive is depicted a detail of the painting "Peasants at table" (other title: "The Farmer's Lunch"; Spanish Original title: "El Almuerzo de campesinos") by Diego Rodriguez de Silva y Velazguez (1599-1660).; This painting was created ca. in 1618/1619 in the style of the genre painting of the 17th century (combination of "conversation peace" and "still life") and is contemporary located in the "Museum of Fine Arts" ("Szépművészeti Múzeum") in Budapest or in the Hermitage in Saint Petersburg (both museums claimed to have the original).; May how it be, this painting belongs in each case to the early works of the artist.; This stamp was postmarked by CTO. date QS:P,+1967-00-00T00:00:00Z/7,P580,+1967-00-00T00:00:00Z/9
