in Munich (Germany).; On these competitions participated 7170 athletes (therefrom 1095 female participants) in 28 sportive disciplines.; The Arab Emirate Schardscha (Sjarjah) had not competed at this Olympiad.; The events of this Olympiad were overshadowed by the Munich massacre in the second week, in which eleven Israeli athletes and coaches and a West German police officer at Olympic village were killed by Palestinian Black September members.; The motivation for the attack was the ongoing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.; This stamp is one of the so-called "Dunes Issues".; stamp postmarked by CTO
