Description

Stamp of the United Arab Eriminates – Emirate Ajman; 1972; commorative issue to the "500th Anniversary of birth of Albrecht Dürer",; issue of 6 stamps + 1 block; Depicted is the block UAE-AJ, Michel No. Bl0371 vom 1972 and show as motive the "Selfportrait wuth Fur-collared robe" by Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528).; Dürer has created this painting in 1500 and the contemporary location is in the "Old Pinakothek" in Munich. Dürer had hisself painted in a pose, which remember to a Jesus Christ and which has a "...stressed look in his eyes to the creative hand of some artist which is working before that painting...; This stamp issue belongs with to the so-called "Dunes-issues", which were only produced for the sale to philatelistic collectors and which were never in some postal circulation.; Unfortunately this block was postmarked, but the postmark is not readable.
