Description
English: Standard-bearer/Spearman: 鬼三味線 (Otsu-e), late 1600s-1800s. Japan, Edo Period (1615-1868). Ink and color on paper; private collection, formerly mounted to a shoji screen, now lost, but with some backing remaining. He carries the horsehair spear at the head of the daimyo's procession.
