| Description |
English: Standing Stone, High Moor. This square was a dilemma. The Quakers Causeway just nicked the north east corner and the only seemingly interesting feature on the map was 800m away through knee high heather. And the sheep weren't being helpful. Then I noticed this unmapped standing stone. About 60cm high, no inscription or markings but obviously placed by man as some form of marker. As it was about 20m from the medieval causeway I suspect it predates that. |
