Description
English: 12th century stone idol of Goddess Tara in standing mudra found in Bihar.

Black Goddess Tara idol is thought to be connected with spiritual power. Tara is a female deity in both Hinduism and Buddhism. In Hinduism, she is the second of the ten avatars of the great Mother Goddess Mahadevi (also known as Adi Parashakti as well as other names).
