English: Stanhope Drive, Horsforth. Looking north-east from the south-west end, near Featherbank Lane.
The trees on Stanhope Drive were planted as a memorial to the men of Horsforth who were killed in the Great War, one for each man. Originally each tree had a small metal plaque with the name, but very few remain - I think I have seen 2 in recent years. |
