Summary

Description
English: Stanley Ferry aqueducts on the Aire & Calder Navigation.
There are two aqueducts here carrying the canal over the River Calder . The original cast iron aqueduct was found to be structurally inadequate when the canal was upgraded to accommodate 600-tonne vessels in the 20th century and a new concrete aqueduct was built alongside the original in 1981. Both are open to canal traffic.
