English: 6,765 GRT passenger steamship Miltiades, built in 1903 by Alexander Stephen & Sons of Glasgow for George Thompson & Co (Aberdeen Line). In 1915 she was requisitioned as the Australian troopship HMAT Miltiades (A28). In 1920 she returned to civilian service. In 1921 the Royal Mail Steam Packet Co bought her and renamed her Orcana. She was transferred to Pacific Steam Navigation Co in 1923 but laid up. She was scrapped in the Netherlands in 1924. |
