English: Cie. des Chargeurs Réunis passenger steamship Cap Saint-Jacques. Ateliers et Chantiers de la Loire built her in 1921 as Guichen. Chargeurs Réunis renamed her Cap Saint-Jacques in 1925. After France's capitulation to Germany in June 1940, UK authorities detained the ship at Suez. She was seized in October 1940 the UK Ministry of War Transport took her over as a personnel ship in November. In April 1945 the Royal Navy took her over as a hospital ship. She was returned to French civilian service in April 1946 and scrapped in 1954. |
