Summary edit

Description
English: Phyllis Dangar Bell on her wedding day, March 1940 Miss Phyllis Dangar Bell, only daughter of Mr R. M. Bell, pastoralist, and Mrs Bell. Miss Bell married Lieutenant Geoffrey Peter Wills at St. John's Cathedral, Brisbane, on Wednesday 28 March 1940. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a floor-length frock of white Chantilly lace, over stiffened tulle and taffetas. She fastened three strands of pearls at the square neckline, which was finished with a pleated frill of stiffened net, and the short puff sleeves flared from the extended shoulders. The bouffante skirt was gathered into the slim waistline, and the bodice was shirred. Her hem-length veil of French tulle was held to the head with a wreath of orange blossoms, finished in front with a circular cluster, and she carried a bouquet of lillies of the valley tied with silver ribbons.
