Men wearing these badges were called 'red raggers'. The banner was taken on marches to campaign for and celebrate the eight hour day. The three lights stood for 8 hours work, 8 hours recreation and 8 hours rest. The pictures, from left to right, depict a woman, a train driver and a fireman.
