Description
English: New grandstand at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds, 1905 Grandstand is built of timber with an iron roof which has three gables in the front. A double staircase leads up to the landing and timber balustrades edge the gallery and stairs. A large crowd is seated in the grandstand and spectators are also standing on the ground along the front. A group of women standing at the fence look very elegant, all dressed in white with hats and umbrellas. A sign in the centre of the building has the letters B A H P & M S (Border Agricultural Horticultural Pastoral and Mining Society).
