Description
English: Members of the Sugar Commission at Bellenden.

The Royal Commission into the sugar industry in Queensland, 24 October 1911–4 December 1912.
The Commission included the following people:
J. H. Gordon (Chair 1911–12), W. J. Brown (Chair 1912), R. M. M. Anderson, T. W. Crawford, A. Hinchcliffe, M. R. Shannon. How these names relate to the people in the photograph is not clear. Note that this location is Bellenden Plains, near Tully, not Bellenden Ker much further north.

The group of six men and three women are gathered outside Bellenden with the older lady seated at the front of the group. Certain of the men carry hats and have coats over their arm. The veranda railings and decorative veranda brackets at the top of the uprights can be seen.
