Français : Stations botaniques du Mounio. Du campement de Gabana, 17 janvier 1906. A, Fond de cuvette. Dattiers et Doums. — B, Mamelons ensablés. Le sol est couvert de graminées desséchées, donnant l'aspect d'un champ de chaume. Balanites aegyptiaca est l'arbre dominant; il est accompagné de Bauhinia reticulata, Salvadora persica, Calotropis procera, Euphorbia balsaminifera, Acacia et jujubier. — C, Mamelon rocheux à pente raide. Euphorbia balsaminifera et Balsamodendron africanum y forment un taillis clairsemé haut de 2 à 3 mètres; en janvier toutes les feuilles sont tombées. Aspect d'hiver de quelques coteaux arides de la Mayenne ou de l'Ardenne. Le sommet de C est à 150 mètres au-dessus du fond de la cuvette A. |
