| Description |
The only statue remaining in Statue Square - a public pedestrian square in Central, Hong Kong - is of Sir Thomas Jackson who was the Chief Manager of the Hongkong Shanghai Banking Corporation responisble for financing the development of Colonial Hong Kong. The HSBC Main Building stands adjacent to the square and Central MTR Station exit. Many of the public recreation areas of Central are popular with migrant domestic workers on their day-off. |
