English: Steam engine, Masson Mill This is a horizontal cross compound by W & J Yates, Blackburn. It came from Jubilee Mills, Padiham and is being installed as an attraction in Masson Mill.
This is the low pressure side and the air pump levers can be seen protruding through slots in the bed. The gear drive wheel is also visible and is bolted to the spokes of the flywheel. |
