Summary edit

Description
English: Steam engines, Crowle Brickworks This building has been a victim of the trend to remove roofs to avoid paying rates. The three steam engines therein were given an overall coat of grey paint.

Ghastly. The electrical generators are almost certainly ruined. This was the last time I saw this plant and I don't know if it is still there. Perhaps a local could take a look and let us know.

For the record and in view of a future proposed gallery, the engine closest is a Browett, Lindley inverted vertical compound (enclosed) engine. In the middle there is a horizontal single cylinder engine that is reputed to be by Bradley and Craven. At the far end is a smaller inverted vertical compound (enclosed) engine by Belliss & Morcom.
