The TAMPICO was a former Great Lakes freighter which was purchased by the Globe Navigation Co. in 1901 to provide service between the Pacific Northwest and Hawaii. In 1907 she was chartered by the Pacific Coast Steamship Co. for coast service. The TAMPICO sank at the Pacific Coast Coal Co. bunkers in Seattle at midnight, May 18, 1911.
