DescriptionStefan Majewicz.jpg	Polski: Stefan Majewicz (1910-1944) – absolwent warszawskiego CIWF, przed wojną nauczyciel i urzędnik. Czasie II wojny światowej żołnierz Polskich Sił Zbrojnych na Zachodzie, członek Armii Krajowej, "cichociemny" (ps. „Hruby”). Aresztowany przez Niemców i rozstrzelany w ruinach getta warszawskiego w dniu 13 sierpnia 1944. English: Stefan Majewicz aka “Hruby” (1910-1944) – Polish teacher and civil servant, graduate of the University of Physical Education in Warsaw. During the Second World War he served in the elite special-operations paratroops unit of the Polish Army in exile (so-called "Silent Unseen" – Cichociemny). He was dropped in occupied Poland where he worked in the intelligence branch of the underground “Home Army” (Armia Krajowa). Arrested by the Gestapo and executed in the ruins of Warsaw Ghetto on 13th August 1944.
