Summary
editDescriptionStele 67.118 Brooklyn.jpg |
English: Donation stela depicting the Mendesian triad of gods (from left to right: Hatmehyt, Banebdjed, Osiris); the small figure is probably Horus-the-Child (Harpokrates). In front of them stands the "Great chief of the Ma, Harnakht, son of the Great Chief of the Ma, Neskhebit" followed by the flautist-priest Ankhhorpekhrod. The stela commemorates a field donation by Harnakht to Ankhhorpekhrod, deputy of the priesthood of Horus-the-Child of Mendes. The stela also contains a curse to whom may seize the land, and is dated to the regnal year 22 of a pharaoh Shoshenq (almost certainly Shoshenq III of the 22nd Dynasty). Limestone, from Mendes. |
