English: Stephen's Eyots A variety of boats moored up and a few Cormorants in the trees. This part of the Thames is just upstream of Teddington Lock, the upper tidal limit. It is therefore fresh but wide and slow and has certain characteristics of a lake. This can be reflected in the birdlife and I have seen it thinly iced over. |
