English: Steps at Tintagel Castle The bridge and steps lead up to the ruined castle on the Island at Tintagel Head. The crenellated wall at the top of the steps is a 19th century creation, replacing the original wall that was lost due to cliff falls. To the left of the far side of the bridge you can see the old steps which once joined the Island to the mainland across the narrow neck of rock that connects the two. |
